This round bonsai pot was thrown and altered, after some drying time whatever wasn't feet was carved away in this red clay body. The ash glaze was made with equal parts locally collected clay and ash from the pottery wood stove called Sabins Point Ocher. After a bisque firing it was wiped with iron oxide to enhance the clay texture and glazed and fired once more to about 2300f.

stoneware, suitable for indoor and outdoor use year round. Wheel thrown and slab built without molds of any kind, each piece is unique and designed to last a lifetime. Measurements are on the outside of the pot at the widest dimension.
