341 Textured and Glazed Oval

This pot was thrown on the wheel in light brown speckled clay and textured with roller tools, a willow leaf shape was cut out of the bottom and it was squished and pounded into an oval shape, then four goofy feet were added. After a bisque firing it was glazed in an ash glaze I make from wild clay I collected in my neighborhood and ash from the wood stove, and fired once more to about 2300f.

All pots are handmade by Paul Olson and are durable freeze proof high fired stoneware, suitable for indoor and outdoor use year round. Wheel thrown and slab built without molds of any kind, each piece is unique and designed to last a lifetime. Measurements are on the outside of the pot at the widest dimension.
