This loosely thrown oval pot features a course gritty clay with my homemade Sabin’s Point Ochre ash glaze that dripped nicely where I laid it on thick, other areas are quite sandy, as I hardly sifted the clay I dug at the beach! I think the form is clunky, which may have encouraged experimenting with the glaze application. After a bisque firing it was wiped with iron oxide to enhance the clay texture and patina and fired once more to about 2300f.
